The youth khalaqa program for young muslim boys and girls has resumed at ICBCS. The biweekly program is supervised by Dr. Anwer and will hold on Sundays between Maghrib and Isha.

ICBCS will be holding a workshop with Dr. Sheikh Mohammed Salah who has visited the community several times to discuss topics regarding the different types of sabr. Sheikh Mohamed Salah was the Imam of the Masjid in Victoria, Texas. He currently resides in Egypt and he is the host of the popular Islamic TV Show, Ask Huda. There will be three lectures total:

1) Patience with respect to calamities

2) Patience in performing acts of worship

3) A General Fiqhi Q&A.

ICBCS congratulates all Muslims for the beginning of Dhul-hijjah, the best ten days in the sight of Allah. The Hajj Authority in Makkah determined that the first day of Dhul-Hijjah was Monday December 10th, 2007. Based on that the day of Arafat will be on Tuesday December 18th, 2007 and Eid al-Adha will be on Wednesday December 19th, 2007.

Eid Prayer will take place inshallah at Memorial Student Center (MSC), rooms 224 and 225. The prayer will start at 9:00 am sharp inshallah, with the takbeerat at 8:45 am.
